The producers of TINA – The Tina Turner Musical are bringing the hit production to Theatre Royal Plymouth from 01 – 12 July as part of the first ever UK and Ireland tour.

This June, Market Hall Devonport welcomes The Longest Yarn 2: Britain at War—a powerful free exhibition marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day. The award-winning Bat Out Of Hell – The Musical, featuring Jim Steinman and Meat Loaf’s greatest hits, is returning to Theatre Royal Plymouth next week, running from 12 – 17 May, following its hugely successful run back in 2022.

Theatre Royal Plymouth (TRP) community group, Our Space, will return with a new show, Domestication, which explores the human experience through its signature style of bold visual storytelling and immersive soundscapes.

After years of mental health struggles, I’ve redefined what it means to be a man—not stoic or tough, but open, expressive, and self-aware. Illustration became my therapy, helping me process emotions, challenge damaging societal norms, and embrace vulnerability as strength. Drawing is how I heal, reflect, and grow—empowered by creativity, not confined by outdated ideas of masculinity.

In Search of Goldoni is part of TRP’s Drum spring season and is a one-person comedic play that follows Saikat on a family trip to his beloved Venice. Saikat is an actor, writer and poet based in Bristol and has starred in theatre, film, TV and radio as well as working as a writer for stage.

The countdown is on: the late May bank holiday is about to get loud and a little bit exciting, and Plymouth is at the heart of it all with three massive days of music at Home Park Stadium.

This week the Theatre Royal is hosting host the 30th anniversary of the National Theatre Connections Festival which sees ten groups and schools from Devon and Cornwall taking part.
