What’s On Culture
Be a community reporter
Plymouth Culture is looking for Freelance Writers and Content Creators to contribute ideas and content to our platforms – and be paid to do it!
Do you think you could be a Community Reporter for us? Do you care about what goes on around you, wish your community had a louder voice, and want to make a difference? We want you to share your stories.
We commission local people to create written and social media content about the cultural, creative and artistic activities in Plymouth’s communities for our website and socials.
Join our team of Community Reporters who create content in one or multiple forms such as written, photography, film or short-form reels. Evidence of knowledge and previous experience on one or multiple platforms would be essential. Previous journalism experience or education is not essential.
We want to enable people who are passionate about culture to share their experience with Plymouth’s audience.
Can you tell us about the musicians growing Plymouth’s vibrant music scene? The artists finding new ways to tell Plymouth’s untold stories? We want people who care about their communities, and would like to make a difference for people living in them. We’re especially keen to hear from those who believe they can shape content to be more representative of the communities they serve.
