Caritas Diocese of Plymouth hosts free creative events for Laudato Si’ Week
Caritas Diocese of Plymouth is hosting three free events for Laudato Si’ Week to focus on how we can look after the world around us. They have been working with all of the Catholic schools in Plymouth to create an art exhibition and series of linked events that will take place at the Cathedral between the 18-24th of May.
The focus of the exhibition is Care for Creation, giving youngsters a voice and say on their future. Some schools have done art workshops with their intergenerational linked homes and some have created unique pieces to illustrate and respond to some very stark realities in our world today. One school has worked with Sustrans on their piece.
There will also be an opportunity to see Mossy Carpet from CIC Art and Energy who will run a mass participation art workshop happening on the 20th of May, along with other talks on the ecological conversation and how our small steps can make a huge difference.
