New bar and venue set to open in Plymouth

Street dancer Toby Gorniak is opening a new live music venue and bar above Arribas Restaurant on Notte Street near the Barbican.

Toby has already set an impressive list of events for the new bar, named Havana, and is hosting an open invitation opening night on April 29th.

Gorniak and his team have been working hard to get Havana in top shape for the opening date, transforming the room above Arribas into a live venue with a stage, dancing area, bar and seating.

The location of the new venue is prime, close to the waterfront and the busy Barbican scene, plus located above a gem and local-favourite independent restaurant.

The plan for the bar is to have themed evenings, such as karaoke and open mic, which is sure to boost the cultural scene in Plymouth. Some nights will also have live DJs and they'll be nights honouring classic music genres.

Toby Gorniak is inviting the people of Plymouth to come and celebrate the opening of this exciting new venture on April 29th, where doors will open at 7pm.

If Toby's work for the community so far is any indication, this new opening is set to be good for the city. So far, Gorniak and his wife have set up the Street Factory charity and dance school, which taught hip hop dance sessions as well as supporting children in other aspects of life.

We can't wait to see what Havana will bring to Plymouth, opening April 29th at 7pm.
