Get Creative at Plymouth Pop-up

Join the likes of Great British Sewing Bee contestant Marni Miller and New York Fashion Week sustainable designer Carla Bellisio at one of three pop-up sewing and making weekends in Plymouth from October 2022 to February 2023.

Green Maker members Mend. Sewing & Making are joining forces with Vacancy Atlas to bring a series of hybrid workshops to inspire creativity by helping to create a wardrobe of wearable clothes. Ditch the fast fashion in favour of your own garments, lovingly handmade by you.

As part of the Plymouth’s Meanwhile Use Programme, head to the local high street to learn invaluable life skills in sewing and mending. In partnership with the Interreg-funded C-Care Project and Historic England’s High Street Heritage Action Zone Programme. The in-person or hybrid workshops teach practical skills as part of the interactive and fun activities such as parent and child sewing, repair shows and use of creative technology.

Enjoy afternoon tea and cake with Great British Sewing Bee contestant Marni Miller, where you can pick her brain about all things creative. Or, jump on a call with Carla Bellisio, a designer showcasing sustainable fashion at none other than New York Fashion Week!
