Free half-term fun to enjoy in Plymouth city centre

This February half term, there’s lots of extra free activities to enjoy in Plymouth city centre so you can keep the kids entertained and browse the shops – it’s a win-win!

Free spring-themed craft workshops will take place on 19, 25 and 26 February. Children can make something beautiful to take home with them, with a huge choice including spring flowers, rabbits, lambs, butterflies and bees. All the materials are supplied and there’s no need to book.

For families who want to keep active, head along to the free dance workshops run by Rhythm City Dance, taking place outdoors on 26 February. There’s three sessions to choose from and you’ll leave having picked up some new moves.

The city centre will also be filled with music during half term. Real Steel Band will bring their feel good sound to Frankfort Gate on 26 February.

Local musicians will also be performing ocean-themed music at different city centre locations throughout the week, providing a soundtrack for your shopping.

Chief Executive of Plymouth City Centre Company Steve Hughes said: “There’s loads to do in the city centre during half term, so come in and enjoy a day out. With live music, craft activities and dance workshops there’s plenty to keep the kids entertained – and that’s on top of everything the area has to offer.

Browse the great range of independent shops, treat yourself to a meal at one of our amazing restaurants or make the most of the indoor entertainment options that are perfect for escaping the February weather, including the cinema, theatre, adventure golf, escape rooms and much more.”
