The Fisherman's Arms

One of Plymouth’s oldest pubs and a real hidden gem, being located a few minutes walk from the historic and vibrant Barbican.

Situated on Lambhay Street which is just above the Mayflower Steps in the area where the 14th century Plymouth Castle used to stand. It has an open fire, oak floors, candlelit tables, comfortable seating and lots of cosy tables. They have real ales, food and drink and aim for everyone to feel a part of the pub community. On fine days, they have street tables and chairs - perfect for soaking up the sunshine in the afternoon and evening.

The Fisherman’s Arms is a country pub in the city, and is proud to be just that, a real pub. They are dog friendly - in fact the pub's Miniature Schnauzer, Mr Jones, is often on hand to oversee dog manoeuvres and to ensure that beer, brewed by Plymouth brewer Summerskills and named after himself, is served in tip top condition!
