Chris Marrow has led a very unusual life. He took a 95 ft landing craft across the Indian Ocean to Mozambique where he ran two such vessels to feed people who had fled fighting in the civil war. When after fifteen years  the war was finally over he re-explored the old David Livingstone route by taking two small craft from Malawi through Mozambique to the coast and back by the Shire River and the Zambezi. As a result he was asked to take over the shipping company on Lake Malawi and run it for private shareholders. He also visited Sierra Leone during the civil war there and was in the Democratic Republic of Congo helping people who were fleeing the Rwanda genocide. Chris Marrow will discuss his travels which has resulted in a couple of autobiographies.
