Networks are a vitally important part of any creative practitioner’s life.  Making contacts, finding opportunities and sharing skills enable you to become successful at what you do.  Plymouth has some excellent and established arts networks to help you make the most of your skills and projects.

GENERAL NETWORKS

CAN (Culture and Arts Network)

CAN

CAN (Culture and Arts Network) is a voice and resource for Plymouth’s creative community.  They hold regular meetings with guest speakers.

 

POP

POP (Plymouth Octopus Project) connects many community, arts and voluntary organisations together. They also deliver training workshops on professional development.

 

Doo:zie

Doo:zie is a new network for creatives that has established itself after the Plymouth Art Weekender.

 

Creative Juice

Creative Juice is a new after-work social event for Plymouth’s creative community, supported by Effervescent, Plymouth University and Plymouth Culture.

PAC Home is run from Plymouth Arts Centre and is a great network and resource for contemporary artists.

 

TALKING HEADS

Run from the Bread and Roses community pub, Talking Heads is an informal art discussion group which meets every first Tuesday and third Thursday of the month.

 

VASW

Visual Arts South West is a network creating opportunities for artists, organisations and professionals to develop their practice, share ideas, knowledge & resources, and cultivate relationships.

 

VISUAL ARTS PLYMOUTH

VAP provides a voice and a platform for the range of visual arts in Plymouth. They also run the Plymouth Art Weekender!
