PLYMOUTH CULTURAL EDUCATION PARTNERSHIP Forum

Welcome to the Plymouth Cultural Education Partnership (PCEP) Forum

The forum is a series of quarterly events being piloted by PCEP across 2021-2022.  They are sometimes held in partnership with other cultural organisations in the city and sometimes include guest speakers from other relevant projects.  The forum is an open invite event designed to reflect on Cultural Education* in Plymouth; provision, opportunities and everything else.

Who is it for?

Anyone in Plymouth, or the immediate surrounding area, working/volunteering or with an interest in; creativity, the arts, culture, collaboration with children and young people, schools and further and higher education, youth services.

The hosts:

The event is hosted by Plymouth Cultural Education Partnership (PCEP): a strategic collaboration between cultural, educational, community and youth organisations across the city.  PCEP seeks to address inequality in Plymouth by ensuring all children and young people have access to a high quality arts and cultural education offer that responds to their needs.  The PCEP Strategic Objectives are to improve quantity, quality and access to cultural education for children and young people.

*For the purpose of the forum we are defining ‘Cultural Education’ as any activity delivered by organisations, individuals, schools, educators that connects with young people and encourages creativity, creative thinking and a creative output in any form (painting, sculpture, dance, theatre, craft, music…)
