Plymouth Culture is asking individuals and organisations within the creative and cultural sector in Plymouth to complete a short survey.
Why are you doing this?
Now, more than ever, we believe the cultural sector has a lead role to play in rebuilding the city and creating a better future.
However, we also know that the sector is precarious and has been heavily impacted by the current health crisis.
We need to emerge from this with a strong and resilient sector, capable of leading change.
In light of this we are asking all creative and cultural organisations and individuals in Plymouth to complete a short survey.
By taking part you will help us:
Map the scope and impact of the sector in Plymouth, pre Covid-19
Understand the immediate impact of Covid-19 on the sector
Shape recovery plans to help rebuild post covid-19
Build a picture of the likely long-term impacts on the sector
Influence the development of a 10 year cultural strategy for the city
We know there have been a few surveys like this going around, so apologies if you’re starting to feel somewhat fatigued by all the questions
We’ve tried to keep it as short as possible, and only ask you for things which will be genuinely useful.
It is essential that we understand the picture in Plymouth, and not only at a regional or national level, so that we can lobby effectively and develop a strategic response to recovery.
How will the data be used?
Nothing you say will be linked to you as an individual or an organisation unless you give us you explicit consent to do so, and if there’s anything which you’re unable to answer then that’s totally fine – you can move on to the next question.
The data set (excluding personal information) will be collated into a summary report and published by Plymouth Culture. This will be used to advocate for support on behalf of the sector, respond to the DCMS call for evidence and shape the development of a cultural strategy for Plymouth.
