A multi-disciplinary arts organisation which operates out of Plymouth University. Expect to see art exhibitions, films, theatre, dance, music performances and lectures as part of their extensive programme.
Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery
Plymouth’s oldest and most established arts gallery and museum, with a range of exhibitions, events, talks and research on offer.
Plymouth Art Weekender
A new city-wide annual weekend art festival, Plymouth Art Weekender is the UK’s largest event of this type. Dates for 2016 are September 23rd/24th/25th.
Working with young and vulnerable people, Radient is a gallery which puts people at it’s core. Joined with their amazing cafe and restaurant Rumpuscosy, Radient invests its profits straight back into the valuable arts projects.
A contemporary arts gallery and artists’ studio space, KARST has been receiving rave reviews for their innovative and compelling exhibitions.
The Gallery at Plymouth College of Art
Art, design and craft exhibitions from talented and cutting-edge creatives. Also a venue for some of the best works of Plymouth College of Art’s students.
Ocean Studios provides studio space and arts facilities and is also the city’s only GIS gallery space, allowing it to host exhibitions which include artists such as Grayson Perry and Gillian Wearing.
Comma Five Art Space
Comma Five Art Space is a gallery, darkroom and artists’ studio space located at the heart Plymouth’s historic Barbican.
An artists’ creative facility, Flameworks provide much needed studio space and equipment to metalsmiths, ceramicists, glass artists, painters and sculptors.
River Tamar Project
The River Tamar Project is developing a long-term programme of arts and ideas to put the River Tamar at the centre of our experience of the South West.
Studio 102 is a new dedicated gallery and studio space supporting emerging artists based on the Barbican.
The Gallery on the Hoe
An artists’ collective and gallery on Plymouth’s Hoe foreshore. The Gallery on the Hoe also runs the Plymouth Hoe Art Fair.
The Alamo Project
The Alamo Project is the working studio of Connor McIntyre and Dr Karen Roulstone, also offering a mentoring environment for emerging artists.
Fotonow CIC is a photographic arts organisation developing work that explores visual culture and stimulates social change.
Performance and Theatre
The Theatre Royal Plymouth is the largest and best attended regional producing theatre in the UK and the leading promoter of theatre in the South West.
A fantastic theatre hosting great shows and enabling young people to produce new theatre and dance, developing their creative skills.
Plymouth Fringe Festival
Plymouth Fringe Festival returns from 30th May – 4th June 2016 for another week long celebration of live performance!
Stiltskin Creative Arts and Theatre Company
Stiltskin is a not-for-profit children’s arts and theatre company based in Plymouth. Since 1999, Stiltskin have created touring theatre, large scale celebratory parades and public art projects for and alongside young people across the Southwest.
Plymouth University’s performance theatre is a state of the art performance facility with a public programme of contemporary performance.
Attik Youth Dance is an inclusive youth dance company working creatively with dance. The focus of Attik Youth is creativity and exploring dance in fun, exciting and dynamic ways.
Rhythm City Dance Studio
Award-winning dance studio which focuses on Street Dance. Has recently been voted the second best street dance school in the country at the UDO British Street Dance Championships.
