Powering arts and culture

We believe culture and the arts serve as a unifying force, forging connections, igniting passion, and fostering collective purpose.

Plymouth Culture is dedicated to fostering a vibrant cultural ecosystem that nourishes growth, encourages connections, and celebrates the creative spirit of our city.

We serve as a key force that brings together diverse stakeholders, from artists to organisations, to collaborate and innovate, and amplify Plymouth’s cultural richness.

We have created and deliver a number of programmes that align with our core purpose.

Sector Support

From events and toolkits, to advisory sessions and the latest funding opportunities, here are some ways we support creatives and arts organisations.

I really like this citywide approach to leadership - I think it sends a message to future leaders that Plymouth is a place where you can progress and have a career because of the range of organisations that took part.

Thanks to the funding for this project, we have made contacts with The Box, as well as increased awareness of Plymouth’s Queer District Collective. The project can now continue from this initial stage, growing and continuing to work alongside Plymouth’s archives and LGBTQIA+ communities.
